On June 6th, 2020 at 11:00 AM Armenia time, RepatArmenia will host “Imagine Armenia Lebanon.” For the first time, the 20th Imagine Armenia forum designed specifically for Lebanon, will be held entirely on an online platform, bringing together repatriates from around the world, and representatives from Armenain’s state institutions to discuss repatriation for two consecutive days.  

The Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs will participate in the online forum; High Commissioner Sinanyan will give the opening remarks, and present current approaches to repatriation and Armenia-Diaspora relations. Following the opening remarks, the forum will be held in the form of thematic discussions by 30 speakers, who will be discussing repatriation processes, challenges, and opportunities, based on their personal and professional experiences.

On the first day of the forum until 4 PM, panel discussions will be held with the following topics, “Repatriation Challenges and Opportunities,” “Budgeting for Repatriation,” and “Belongings and Statues in Armenia.”  

On the 2nd day of the forum, panel discussions will be held from 11 AM till 6 PM Armenia time, with the following topics, “Real Estate in Armenia,” “Education in Armenia,” “Healthcare in Armenia,” and “Do’s and Don’ts in Armenia.” 

Participants will have the opportunity to hear practical and up-to-date advice from repatriates from Lebanon, the United States, Canada, Russia, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as information about repatriation related opportunities and processes from representatives of Armenia's public sector agencies.
