During a work visit to Russia, High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan met with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Andrey Rudenko. In the course of the meeting, issues related to the restoration of Artsakh were discussed first and foremost.

Both sides were unanimous in that the role of the diaspora will be great in the development of post-war Armenia and Artsakh. A number of issues related to Armenian language instruction in Russia and the local Armenian community were also discussed. The High Commissioner touched upon our office’s activities, and in particular, iGorts, the program to attract Armenian diaspora specialists to the Armenian government, which received great interest.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs presented similar programs in Russia and specific scholarships offered to Armenians in Russian universities.
