On the second day of his visit to Syria, High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan met with the Primate of St. Sarkis Church in Damascus, Bishop Armash Nalbandian. He then visited the church and met with representatives of the Armenian community in Damascus. St Targmanchats National School is located at the same place as the church. It is one of the 5 national schools in Damascus.

Zareh Sinanyan also met with His Eminence Hovsep Arnautyan at the Armenian Catholic Church in Damascus. During the meeting, issues related to the implementation of various programs, as well as cooperation with the representatives of the Armenian Catholic community of Damascus, the Union of Armenian Catholic Ladies of Damascus, Homenetmen, and the Armenian Catholic community were discussed. During these meetings, the High Commissioner was accompanied by the RA Ambassador to Syria Tigran Gevorgyan.
