Breakout Session #2: Diaspora schools & teaching Armenian language and culture in the Diaspora

For our second Breakout Session today, the topic was “Diaspora schools & teaching Armenian language and culture in the Diaspora.” The moderator of the discussion was Roubina Margossian, the Managing Director at EVN Report, who led the conversation between Hagop Gulludjian, Holder of Kachiguian Lectureship in Armenian Language and Culture at UCLA, Shushan Karapetian, Deputy Director of USC Institute of Armenian Studies, Marina Ghazaryan, Founder and Director of M.A.M. Educational Movement, Hosep Torossian, Principal at AGBU Alex and Marie Manoogian School in Michigan, and Manoug Demirjian, Principal of AGBU Alexander Primary School in Australia.
This group of experienced education professionals had a highly constructive discussion about teaching Armenian in Diaspora schools and the cultivation of Armenian language and culture in the Diaspora.
