Since early morning, the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, and High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan, have been in direct and constant contact with the Lebanese Armenian community, including representatives from religious, healthcare, educational and charitable organizations, the media, as well as the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Atabekyan, in order to conduct a preliminary assessment of needs following the explosion that took place in Beirut on August 4.

The "Step To Home" online program has launched for hundreds of Diaspora Armenian youth

Despite closed borders, the connection with the Diaspora youth has not changed. The Government of the Republic of Armenia, represented by the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, has developed an engaging online summer program designed specifically for Diaspora Armenian youth, which opened on August 3rd.

A Pan-Armenian Online Chess Tournament Will Be Held to Celebrate International Chess Day

The Yerevan Chess Federation and the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia in partnership with the Melkonian Global Overture, are organizing a pan-Armenian online chess tournament dedicated to International Chess Day. The AGBU Armenian Virtual College is e-learning partner of the tournament.
