Repatriation Week 2025 - Heritage Excursion to Shirak Region

On September 9, as part of Repatriation Week, 25 repatriates from Russia, Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Canada, Germany, and Kazakhstan participated in a heritage excursion to Shirak.
They visited the medieval monastic complexes of Harich and Marmashen, as well as the Turpanjian Theological College of Harich Monastery, where they learned about the educational conditions.
The repatriates also toured the historical center of Gyumri and visited the Hovhannes Shiraz House-Museum.

On September 3, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Zareh Sinanyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay to Armenia, Silvana Leska Barolin.
Welcoming the Ambassador and congratulating her on the commencement of her diplomatic mission in Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan expressed hope that during her tenure, through joint efforts, relations between Armenia and Uruguay will further develop and expand in such fields as the economy, tourism, education, culture, and other areas of mutual interest.

Zareh Sinanyan's working visit to Cyprus

High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Zareh Sinanyan paid a working visit to the Republic of Cyprus.
On August 26, in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, Mr. Sinanyan took part in the opening ceremony of the World Conference of Cyprus Diaspora.
The ceremony was opened with remarks by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides; the President of the Cypriot House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou; the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, Constantinos Kombos; the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Ioannis Loverdos; His Beatitude Archbishop of Cyprus Georgios Papachrysostomou; as well as the heads of the Cypriot diaspora’s global organizations (POMAK, NEPOMAK, PSEKA).

The 2025 cycle of the Step Toward Home educational and cultural program, organized by the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia, has concluded.
The sixth stage of the program brought together 81 young Armenians from 7 countries. In total, 1,400 diaspora youth aged 13 to 18 from 27 countries applied to participate in the program, and only 600 were hosted in the homeland.
