High Commissioner Sinanyan’s visit to the United States concluded with a visit to the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. There, Mr. Sinanyan and Anais Astarjian, the office’s U.S. Diaspora Relations Coordinator, met with various organizations to discuss the office’s programs and to further engage the Diaspora in Armenia’s development.

Mr. Sinanyan continued his visit to the United States with a trip to New Jersey where he visited the headquarters of the Armenian Missionary Association of America and had a meeting with AMAA leadership, board members, and staff. They discussed the work AMAA is conducting in Armenia and the Diaspora, including the partnership with our Office.

High Commissioner Sinanyan started his visit to New York City with Sunday Service at the St. Vartan Cathedral. After service, Mr. Sinanyan had a coffee hour with churchgoers where he met members of the New York Armenian community. The High Commissioner also met with Very Rev. Fr. Mesrop Parsamyan the 13th Primate of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America.

High Commissioner Sinanyan continued his working visit to the United States with a trip to Boston where he met with Massachusetts State House Representative David K. Mouradian Jr., who represents the Armenian community in Worcester, which was one of the oldest Armenian settlements in the United States.
