Lara Techekirian
My name is Lara, I am from Beirut-Lebanon.
I’m placed in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia (Human Trafficking and Women’s Issues Department).
I hold a Master's degree in Peace and Development from La Sapienza University of Rome, a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Lebanese University and a Post graduate diploma in International Criminal Law and Procedure from the TMC Asser Institute (The Hague) with considerable experience in International Law, Gender Issues and Human Rights.
Previously, I had worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in a range of functions (Coordination, Legal, and Protection; These included Detention, Gender-Based Violence, Child Protection), with the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) as a National Visiting Professional/Consultant and with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) as a Consultant on Women Empowerment.
