Aram Shoujounian
I was born in Montreal, Canada. I graduated from Sourp Hagop Armenian School, then went on to study International Relations and International Law at the College Boisde-Boulogne in Ahuntsic-Cartierville. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies with a specialization in Security and Peace Studies from the University of Montreal.
From 2016 to 2018, I led the external affairs department for Infomane, the student newspaper at my college. From 2018, I became a member of the executive council of the Armenian Student Association of University of Montreal before becoming president in 2019. Since then, I’ve been a correspondent for Horizon Weekly, the most influential Armenian weekly in Canada. I am also an active member in the Armen Karo Armenian Student Association of Canada, as well as the Armenian National Committee of Canada. Additionally, I am involved in the Armenian Education Council of the Armenian Prelacy of Canada. I currently work for Her Honorable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, as her Parliamentary Assistant.
