The head of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Mushegh Ghukasyan took part in the opening ceremony of the 6th International Medical Congress of Armenia, which is being held under the motto «Together we can do more».

The Medical Congress of Armenia is an event of pan-Armenian significance and has been held since 2003. It aims to develop and strengthen the cooperation of Armenian doctors of the world, to discuss the problems and priorities facing the healthcare systems of Armenia and Artsakh, to exchange experience, to share scientific achievements and reforms recorded in the field.

RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan welcomed the participants at the beginning of the congress. Doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals from different countries of the world participate in the event.

Lectures by world-famous scientists will be presented at the congress, scientific sessions, thematic symposiums and seminars will be organized. Within the framework of Armenia-Diaspora cooperation, various programs aimed at the development of healthcare and medical education will be presented.
