THE 5th PHASE OF THE «STEP TOWARD HOME» PROGRAM HAS BEEN COMPLETED

The 5th phase of the "Step Toward Home" educational program has been completed, in which 101 young people aged 13-18 years from 10 countries took part: the USA, Russia, Georgia, France, Ireland, Belarus, Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain, and Ukraine.
During two weeks, the participants of the program traveled in the homeland, visited cultural and educational institutions, had courses in Armenian language, history, Armenian song and dance. The participants spent the camp days at YSU Byurakan Industrial Practice Base.
During the closing ceremony, High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan noted that the program aims to preserve and develop national identity and deepen the connection with the homeland among Diaspora Armenian youth and teenagers. "I sincerely hope that you will return to your homeland many more times, perhaps for the purpose of permanent residence. I also know that you have made many friends and I encourage you to keep that company after the end of the program," Zareh Sinanyan emphasized.
He also thanked the "Big Mind" educational center, the Byurakan Industrial Practice Base and Yerevan State University, the "Concept Events" company, the RA ministries of health, education, science, culture and sports, internal affairs, defense, Aragatsotn regional administration, Ashtarak Medical Center for effective cooperation during the project.
