On September 26, the RA High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Zareh Sinanyan, met with Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, newly appointed Head of the EU Delegation to the Republic of Armenia.

The High Commissioner congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed confidence in their ability to maintain effective cooperation across multiple areas, including the resolution of the humanitarian crisis resulting from Azerbaijan's large-scale military aggression against the people of Nagorno-Karabakh.

During their conversation, Zareh Sinanyan discussed the Armenian government's efforts to support and meet the needs of the forcibly displaced Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh by unifying the Diaspora's potential and expanding cooperation with international organizations.

Both parties stressed the importance of implementing initiatives based on shared priorities of cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union.
