On October 3rd, RA High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan met with the President of the Armenian International Women's Association (AIWA) Silva Katchiguian, Board member Tsoleen Sarian, and representatives of the organization Ani Aivazian and Anni Barsoum.

Zareh Sinanyan welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance of AIWA's initiatives on protecting women's rights, advancing women's education, increasing women's involvement in business and technology, and expressed willingness for continued collaboration.

During the discussion, the High Commissioner emphasized the challenges faced by forcibly displaced Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh and outlined the multifaceted government efforts to address their diverse needs. Zareh Sinayan also drew attention to the important contributions made by non-profit Diaspora organizations in overcoming the ongoing humanitarian situation.

In a conversation with the High Commissioner, the guests presented AIWA's initiatives, as well as their plan to establish an organization branch in Armenia in the coming months, further deepening the cooperation with local and Diaspora organizations, the Government, and actively participating in initiatives to overcome the humanitarian challenges.

At the meeting, a number of issues were discussed in order to further strengthen the ties between the Office and AIWA.
