The initial phase of the Diaspora Youth Ambassador program has been successfully completed

On October 6, the 2023-24 Diaspora Youth Ambassador program concluded its first phase in Armenia.
The event was attended by Mushegh Ghukasyan, Chief of Staff at the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Office; Eliza Minasyan, Executive Director of the Jinishian Memorial Program (USA); Armen Hakobyan, Executive Director of the Jinishian Memorial Foundation (Armenia); Zara Janibekyan, Health Program Coordinator at the Foundation; Vladimir Gevorgyan, CEO of All Hotels LLC; as well as office representatives and program participants.
The project director, Greta Mnatsakanyan, presented a brief summary of the workshops and meetings conducted over the past two weeks and outlined the primary objectives for the Ambassadors' work until August 2024. Ms. Mnatsakanyan concluded her presentation by expressing her gratitude to individual and organizational partners for their continuous support over the project's three-year duration.
Mushegh Ghukasyan, Chief of Staff at the Office, emphasized the significance of young individuals visiting Armenia during these challenging times to gain firsthand insights into the situation and convey it to the Diaspora. While extending his best wishes for success to the young Ambassadors, he shared his confidence that their efforts will contribute to the enhancement of Armenia-Diaspora cooperation and inter-communal relations in the future.
The 18 participants from 8 different countries expressed their gratitude to the program organizers. They appreciated the meaningful and comprehensive agenda and shared their thoughts on the meetings and workshops. They highlighted the valuable experiences and knowledge they have gained, which will enable them to organize future activities more effectively.
Diaspora Youth Ambassador program spans one year. Following the completion of their two-week training in Armenia, each participant will return to their respective communities to organize local meetings and inter-community activities. Additionally, they will work in their countries to enhance the Armenian presence both on social and in traditional media.
