Mushegh Ghukasyan, the Chief of Staff of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, is currently on a work trip to the Russian city of Irkutsk to take part in the events marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Armenian Cultural Union.

During the visit, the Chief of Staff held meetings with several officials from the Irkutsk regional governor's office. Also present were Hayk Gndlyan, the Head of the Irkutsk Armenian Cultural Union, and Armen Davtyan, the Head of the Bratsk Armenian National Cultural Union.

Mushegh Ghukasyan expressed satisfaction with the positive relationship between the Armenian community of Irkutsk and the city and regional authorities, as well as the ongoing support provided by the authorities to the community. The meeting covered topics related to the Armenian community and explored opportunities for collaboration in education, tourism, and other areas.

At the end of the meeting, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Irkutsk Armenian Cultural Union, Hayk Gndlyan, the head of the union, was presented with a congratulatory letter by the Irkutsk regional representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
