The High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs met with the leadership of the Swiss Cooperation Office in the South Caucasus

At the invitation of the Swiss Cooperation Office in the South Caucasus, Zareh Sinanyan, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, presented the Office’s activities aimed at promoting cooperation between Armenia and the Diaspora.
The meeting was held at the Yerevan office of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU). It was attended by Barbara Böni, the Regional Director of Swiss Cooperation in the South Caucasus, Werner Thut, the Deputy Regional Director of Cooperation, Vasken Yacoubian, the AGBU Armenia President, and Armen Chobanyan, the Country Director of the Izmirlian Foundation.
During the meeting, Zareh Sinanyan discussed the programs and initiatives implemented by the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs to enhance cooperation among Armenian communities and strengthen the potential of the Diaspora.
The High Commissioner also presented the Repatriation and Integration Center, which was opened in July 2023, and discussed its activities and future initiatives to promote repatriation.
In his speech, Zareh Sinanyan emphasized the importance of collaborating with international organizations, charitable foundations and NGOs, expressing the Office's willingness to expand such cooperation.
The AGBU Armenia and Izmirlian Foundation, partner organizations of the Office, also shared their activities and programs.
The meeting concluded with a discussion on potential cooperation.
