On November 30, the Repatriation and Integration Center of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia held the final meeting of the free integration seminar-courses for repatriates in 2023. This year, the Center has organized the seminar-courses in 10 stages, with the participation of approximately 100 repatriates from 13 countries.

The event was attended by the repatriates who took part in the courses, as well as representatives from partner organizations of the Center.

Hovhannes Aleksanyan, the representative of the Office on repatriation issues, delivered a welcome speech to the attendees.

Hakob Makdis, the representative of the "Big Mind" organization responsible for the educational part of the program, summarized the results of the courses.

Throughout the year, repatriates with various professions have participated in the courses. Arpi Kilejian, who is from Syria, has expertise in healthy lifestyle matters. She attended the courses with the intention of acquiring new knowledge in the business field.

"The information and knowledge that I have received are particularly valuable for individuals who are interested in business. I believe these courses are highly beneficial for repatriates. In the future, I aspire to establish my own business," expressed Arpi Kilejian.

Artur Harutyunyan, who is from Russia, is involved in wholesale trade. He attended the courses with the intention of starting a business in Armenia.

Artur Harutyunyan stated, "During these courses, the specialists provide concise answers to each participant's question. I have not encountered such an opportunity elsewhere. The free courses and consultations assisted me in launching my wholesale trade business."

The repatriates received certificates of participation in seminars and courses at the end of the event. The Center's specialists also offered advice on various repatriation-related issues. The seminar-courses organized throughout the year covered topics such as the specifics of doing business in Armenia, the legislative framework, tax and customs systems, accounting procedures, and cultural adaptation.
