Zareh Sinanyan, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, welcomed Karen Hovhannisyan, the head of the Armenian community in Moldova, in a recent meeting.
During their discussion, Karen Hovhannisyan highlighted ongoing efforts to arrange an Armenian cultural festival in Moldova, an initiative that stemmed from the High Commissioner's recent visit to the country.
Zareh Sinanyan underscored the significance of the cultural festival and emphasized the need for broader, multidimensional collaboration with Moldova's Armenian community.
The High Commissioner highlighted, "The community, despite its smaller size, actively engages across diverse sectors in Moldova while maintaining a strong connection to their homeland. Such initiatives play a crucial role in safeguarding Armenians and nurturing community vibrancy."
The conversation also touched upon collaborative prospects with the Office, including the involvement of proactive members of the Armenian community in Moldova in programs such as "Diaspora Youth Ambassador," "iGorts," and the upcoming Global Armenian Summit scheduled for that year.
