Zareh Sinanyan Takes Part in the UN Global Forum on Migration and Development

Zareh Sinanyan, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, is participating in the 14th Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) organized by the United Nations in Geneva from January 23 to 25. The forum delves into various significant themes, such as human rights and migration, diasporas, the impact of climate change on human mobility, labor migration, the preservation of cultures, cultural heritage acquired through migration, and the decision-making processes and governance of migration. Additionally, it highlights the importance of collaboration among international organizations, civil society, and the private sector.
Marking the conclusion of the French Presidency, the conference brings together esteemed representatives from over 100 countries, as well as figures from civil society, the private sector, local governments, and emerging young leaders.
The event adopts a format comprising panel discussions, simultaneous sessions, high-level meetings, networking events, and cultural gatherings.
