High Commissioner Sinanyan visited Auckland, New Zealand, where he participated in a community meeting. Those present at the meeting expressed their dedication to remaining active with the Homeland, demonstrating a high level of interest in fostering connections with Armenia, despite geographical barriers.

The Armenian community in Auckland is made up of approximately 120 individuals and mostly consists of families who have migrated from the Middle East.

In 1996, the community established the Armenian Society of New Zealand with the objective of preserving Armenian identity among Armenians residing in New Zealand, as well as serving as a primary point of contact for anyone interested in learning more about Armenia and its people.
