Meeting with the Armenian community of Geneva

During his visit to Switzerland, High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan convened with members of foundations, educational institutions, cultural organizations, and business leaders within the Armenian community of Geneva.
At the onset of the gathering, Vahe Gabrash, president of the "Hakob Topalian" Foundation, Daniel Papazyan, president of the St. Gregory the Illuminator Foundation, Mike Baronian, president of the Switzerland-Armenia Chamber of Commerce, along with other attendees, delivered welcoming addresses.
The meeting was overseen by Alen Navara-Navasardyan, a professor of art history and sociology of art at the University of Bologna.
During the nearly two-hour meeting, the High Commissioner outlined the directions of Armenia-Diaspora cooperation, the overarching strategy, plans of the Office, and the forthcoming Global Armenian Summit scheduled for September of this year.
Attendees engaged in discussions and raised questions regarding Armenia's security concerns and foreign policy, regional development, representation of the Diaspora in the National Assembly, challenges concerning assimilation in the Diaspora, repatriation efforts, integration of repatriates, investments, and various other topics.
Komitas's compositions were played during the cultural segment of the meeting.
Additionally, during his stay in Geneva, the High Commissioner visited the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Switzerland where he met with Ambassador Andranik Hovhannisyan.
Furthermore, Zareh Sinanyan held a private discussion with Vartan Sirmakes, the Swiss-Armenian businessman and president of the Frank Muller Group.
