Zareh Sinanyan Holds Meeting with the Ambassador of Greece to Armenia

Zareh Sinanyan, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, welcomed Christos Sofianopoulos, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Greece to the Republic of Armenia.
Expressing warm greetings to the Ambassador, the High Commissioner conveyed his best wishes for a successful tenure aimed at fortifying the ties between the fraternal nations.
During their meeting, the High Commissioner briefed the Ambassador on the programs and activities of the Office. The interlocutors delved into the forthcoming activities planned for 2024 under the trilateral memorandum concerning Diaspora issues between Armenia, Greece, and Cyprus. Additionally, the past years' programs were reviewed.
Zareh Sinanyan underscored the collaborative efforts among the Diasporas of the three countries, particularly in advocating shared interests, fostering youth cooperation, and exchanging expertise.
The High Commissioner commended the Greek delegation's involvement in the inaugural Global Armenian Summit in Yerevan in 2022 and expressed optimism about their participation in the upcoming second summit scheduled for this autumn.
