Conclusion of Step Toward Home Program Application Process

The application process for the Step toward Home educational program has been concluded. This year, the Office has received 1,222 applications from Diaspora youth aged 13-18 spanning across 19 countries. The applicants represent Armenian youth from Russia, Georgia, the USA, Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Greece, Syria, France, the Czech Republic, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Great Britain, Estonia, Latvia, Ireland, and Canada. On average, the applicants are 15 years old.

Out of the 1,222 applicants, 600 will have the opportunity to participate in the program, based on their submitted motivational videos and the registration period.

Aiming to preserve and nurture national identity among Diaspora Armenian youth, the 13-day summer program includes diverse activities. These activities range from courses in both Eastern and Western Armenian languages, Armenian studies, and national song and dance sessions to educational visits to historical and cultural sites across Armenia. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to embark on museum tours, visit educational institutions, and engage in meetings with public figures.

All expenses for the 13-day duration of the program are covered by the RA Government.

The program will be conducted in 6 stages, spanning from June 3rd to August 24th.
