The High Commissioner opened the meeting by offering his condolences for the recent tragic incident at a Sydney shopping center, expressing hopes for a speedy recovery to those affected.

Zareh Sinanyan extended his best wishes for Ambassador Geering's success in his new role. He highlighted the importance of the Armenian community in strengthening Armenian-Australian relations, referencing his own visits to Sydney and Melbourne earlier that year, where he met with local Armenian representatives.
