Meetings in Nancy

During his visit to France, High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan took part in an event organized by the Grand Est Armenian Association dedicated to the 109th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide near the Armenian cross stone (khachkar) installed in Nancy.
The event was also attended by Member of the European Parliament, Nadine Morano, French Member of Parliament, Emmanuel Lacresse, Senator Silvana Silvani, Chairman of the Departmental Council of Meurthe-et-Moselle, Chaynesse Khirouni, first Vice-President of the Council of the Grand Est region, Valérie Debord, Mayor of Laxou, Laurent Garcia, Deputy Mayor of Nancy, Antoine Le Solleuz, President of LICRA in Nancy, Franck Porterat, representatives of the territorial self-government bodies, French individuals, and representatives of the Armenian communities of Nancy and nearby cities.
In his speech, Zareh Sinanyan thanked the French government and local governments for the constant support of Armenia and the Armenian people.
"I am also grateful to my dear compatriots who came here from Nancy and the surrounding Armenian communities, who live in France as law-abiding and proud citizens, contributing to friendship, development, and deepening of relations between our two countries and peoples," the High Commissioner stressed, then together with the heads of the Grand Est "Armenian Diaspora" Association and "Arev" laid a wreath at the cross stone (khachkar).
On the same day, the High Commissioner, accompanied by the head of the Grand Est "Armenian Diaspora" Association, André Nersier, visited the Armenian cross stone (khachkar) in the city of Laxou, and met with Mayor Laurent Garcia.
Zareh Sinanyan thanked the Mayor for the constant support provided to the Armenian community.
The High Commissioner also had a short meeting with Olivier Jacquin, a member of both the French Senate and France-Armenia Friendship Group.
