17 June 2024
The Step toward Home educational program, organized by the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, aims to preserve and develop the Armenian national identity among Diaspora teenagers aged 13-18 years.
Each year, 600 boys and girls from the Armenian Diaspora around the world get the chance to spend their summer in their homeland. The program is conducted in six phases, the first of which has now been completed.
In this initial phase, 55 Armenians from Russia, Georgia, and Ireland participated. For 13 days, they studied the Armenian language, history, and dance, visited historical and cultural sites, and learned about educational opportunities in Armenia.
Today, the second phase begins, welcoming 120 boys and girls from Russia, Georgia, the USA, Canada, Estonia, and Latvia.
