High Commissioner participates in Hidden Road Initiative Meeting

High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan participated in an event organized by the Hidden Road Initiative, which celebrated its scholarship recipients and included a presentation of their community development programs. The Hidden Road Initiative (HRI) is a non-governmental organization established in 2011, with the aim of providing educational and leadership opportunities to youth in rural Armenia through summer educational camps, scholarships, and development programs.
The organization was founded by Armenian students at the University of California, Santa Barbara in the U.S., and currently has chapters in several other universities.
During his welcoming remarks, High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan emphasized the important mission of the Hidden Road Initiative in empowering villages through educational, leadership, and employment opportunities.
Nanor Balabanian, the founder and director of Hidden Road Initiative, along with program director Anush Mkrtchyan, presented the work of the organization. Additionally, beneficiaries of HRI’s programs presented their projects and shared how the organization has impacted their lives and communities.
