iGorts Expands to Regions

A new Diaspora-Armenian specialist has joined the iGorts program in Armenia’s regions. The iGorts program brings Diaspora Armenian specialists into public sector roles within the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
Through the collaboration between the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs and the H. Hovnanian Family Foundation Mikayel Shelemetev from Spain will be relocating to Gyumri to begin his work at the Gyumri Community Hall.
Previously, Mikayel spent a year working at the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs as part of the iGorts program.
During his welcome, Lusine Sanosyan, Deputy Head of Gyumri Community, expressed her hopes that Mikayel would continue to apply his expertise in developing tourism initiatives in Armenia’s cultural capital.
Mikayel Shelemetev is a specialist in social entrepreneurship and the founder of Mundiroom Co., a leading real estate company for university students. He has also established several social enterprises in Armenia, including Magic Forest, the country’s first land art museum, and Lost, a social resort.
