A discussion on the RA draft law "On Repatriation" was held at the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, bringing together representatives from partner public and international organizations, expert scholars, and repatriates.

Mushegh Ghukasyan, Chief of Staff at the Office, presented the key provisions of the draft law, followed by an in-depth discussion on its various aspects, including concepts, integration measures, responsible authorities, partnerships, and other relevant issues.

Additionally, the Office provided partner organizations with an update on the recent situation in Lebanon and the state of the Armenian community there.

Participating organizations included the Izmirlian Foundation, Mission of Armenia, Repat Armenia, Birthright Armenia, Armenian Caritas, the Red Cross, People in Need, the Armenian Mission of the International Organization for Migration, the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), as well as representatives from the “Orbeli” and “Geghard” research centers, among others.

Participants shared their recommendations and observations, and it was agreed to continue discussions aimed at refining and improving the draft law.
