As part of the working visit to Russia, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs visited Moscow.

The meeting with representatives of the Armenian Students Union, which includes students from Moscow higher educational institutions, was held at the Embassy of Armenia in the Russian Federation.

During the meeting, Zareh Sinanyan presented the Office's programs and initiatives, and then had a question-and-answer session with the youth. Among the youth interested questions were the reform act adopted in February of this year in "Military Service and the Status of Servicemen", the ways of interaction between Moscow’s Armenian students and students in Armenia, as well as cooperation with various organizations operating in Armenia.

The students noted the importance of the Global Armenian Summit, which they had attended. They shared their impressions and talked about the established community-regional ties.

At the end of the meeting, the initiative team of the Armenian Student Union represented by Gurgen Avakyan and Karen Sardaryan acquainted their immediate plans and upcoming events.

Zareh Sinanyan noted that this visit gave him the opportunity to meet a wonderful Armenian youth. He also noted that the Office is always ready to support youth initiatives.
