High Commissioner Meets with Armenian community representatives in Los Angeles

As part of his working visit to California, Zareh Sinanyan, RA High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, held a series of meetings with representatives of the Armenian community in Los Angeles.

During his visit, Zareh Sinanyan met with the leadership of the Armenian Student Association at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The High Commissioner presented the Office’s activities and programs, focusing on repatriation initiatives, Diaspora engagement, and youth involvement. The discussion centered on the role of young Armenians in community life and their contributions to strengthening Armenia-Diaspora ties.

In a meeting with the board members of the Armenian Educational Foundation (AEF), the High Commissioner discussed the organization’s wide-ranging programs aimed at bolstering Armenia’s scientific and educational capacities.

Zareh Sinanyan met with American Armenian business and health science representatives Avo Tavitian, Ara Tavitian, and Simon Tchekmedyian to discuss investment opportunities in Armenia’s private sector and developments in public healthcare initiatives.

Additionally, the High Commissioner met with Vicken Antounian and Vladimir Harutyunyan, participants in the Diaspora Youth Ambassador program, to discuss expanding the network of Diaspora Youth Ambassadors.

As part of his working visit to the United States, the High Commissioner will meet with representatives of the Armenian communities in California, Nevada, New York, and New Jersey.
