The RA High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs met with a representative of the Mexican-Armenian community, anthropologist Carlos Antaramian, who is the author of numerous studies on the history of the community and Armenian-related topics.

Discussions focused on strengthening ties with Armenian communities in various cities across Mexico.

Carlos Antaramian presented his extensive research on Armenian communities in Latin America, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti, emphasizing the significant contributions Armenians have made to the economic and cultural spheres of these countries.

High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan acknowledged Antaramian’s dedication to Armenian heritage preservation and his valuable efforts in serving the Armenian nation.

“The preservation of Armenian communities worldwide and the strengthening of their ties with Armenia remain among our key priorities,” stated High Commissioner Sinanyan.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the High Commissioner announced the upcoming Second National Youth Forum, scheduled for August this year, expressing hope for active participation from the Mexican-Armenian community.
