The High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan, held a meeting with representatives of several youth organizations in Los Angeles as part of his official visit to California.

During the meeting, Zareh Sinanyan provided an overview of the ongoing initiatives and strategic priorities of the Office of the High Commissioner, with a particular emphasis on programs aimed at fostering repatriation, mobilizing the potential of the diaspora, and engaging youth through targeted initiatives.

The High Commissioner also presented the upcoming Armenian National Youth Forum 2025, scheduled to be held in Yerevan from August 5 to 7. He underscored the critical importance of diaspora youth participation, noting its key role in reinvigorating community life and strengthening ties between Armenia and its global diaspora.

Participants shared a range of questions and concerns, focusing on the mapping of diaspora capacities, potential avenues for organizational involvement in the forum, and opportunities to engage with the Office’s programs both remotely and on the ground.
