06 June 2025
The first phase of the Step Toward Home educational and cultural program for Armenian youth from the diaspora has officially launched, bringing together 49 participants aged 13–18 from the United States, Russia, and Georgia.
During the opening ceremony, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan, welcomed the participants to Armenia and wished them a meaningful and enriching experience.
The program includes a two-week camp offering courses in the Armenian language (both Eastern and Western Armenian), Armenian studies, traditional music and dance, as well as excursions to historical and cultural sites, museums, educational institutions, and participation in sports and cultural events.
This year, the two-week program will be held in six phases at YSU’s Byurakan Industrial Practice Base, hosting 600 diaspora Armenians from 27 countries.
All expenses for the 13-day program are fully covered by the Government of Armenia.
