The participants of the Step Toward Home program are continuing to explore their homeland

30 June 2025

The participants of the Step Toward Home program are continuing to explore their homeland through visits to Armenia’s historical landmarks, cultural sites, and museums.

As part of the program’s second phase, they visited the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) office, and the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex, where they laid flowers in remembrance of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide. They also had a traditional military-style lunch and toured the Vazgen Sargsyan Military Academy, along with several other notable sites across the country.

Tomorrow, they will conclude their two-week journey—an experience that deepened their connection to Armenia, strengthened their Armenian language skills, and allowed them to build lasting friendships.

A total of 127 young Armenians between the ages of 13 and 18 from Russia, Ukraine, the United States, and Georgia are taking part in the second phase of the Step Toward Home program.
