The 2025 cycle of the Step Toward Home educational and cultural program, organized by the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia, has concluded.

The sixth stage of the program brought together 81 young Armenians from 7 countries. In total, 1,400 diaspora youth aged 13 to 18 from 27 countries applied to participate in the program, and only 600 were hosted in the homeland.

The closing ceremony was attended by the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan, who congratulated the participants on strengthening their ties with the Homeland and with fellow Armenians, as well as on their successful participation in the program. In his remarks, the High Commissioner underscored their commitment to preserving national identity and deepening their connection with Armenia.

During the program, participants explored Armenia’s history and culture, learned national songs and dances, improved their knowledge of the Armenian language (Eastern and Western Armenian), visited historical and cultural landmarks and museums, and took part in sports and cultural activities—building new friendships and lasting memories along the way.

All expenses of the Armenia-based component of the program were fully covered by the Government of Armenia.
