Zareh Sinanyan, High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, conducted a working visit to Finland.
As part of the visit, the High Commissioner visited the Armenian "GiTunik" school in Helsinki, where he held a meeting with the school’s administration and teaching staff. The discussions focused on community-based educational initiatives, as well as the challenges and opportunities related to the preservation of the Armenian language. Mr. Sinanyan also toured the school to familiarize himself with the learning environment and conditions.
He expressed his gratitude to the educators and community representatives for their dedication and consistent efforts in preserving national identity across generations.
On September 21, Mr. Sinanyan participated in an event dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, organized by the Armenian community of Finland in cooperation with Daniel Davtyan, Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs in Finland. Delivering congratulatory remarks, he emphasized the importance of independence and statehood.
Following the celebration, the High Commissioner met with members of the community to present the activities and ongoing programs of our Office, with particular focus on promoting repatriation, engaging the potential of the diaspora, and strengthening Armenia–Diaspora cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Sinanyan presented certificates to young members of the diaspora in recognition of their achievements and successes in the field of sports.
