The participants of the Diaspora Youth Ambassador program, implemented by the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, continued their 13-day training course in Armenia. On the third day of the program, they began with a meeting with Program Director Lilit Khachatryan, who presented the Office’s programs as well as details of the community engagement phase of the Diaspora Youth Ambassador program.

Afterward, the participants visited Birthright Armenia, where they held a session with Director Sevan Kabakian on the topic “Volunteering as a Key Component of Community Work: How to Engage People.” The discussion highlighted the role of volunteering as an essential element of community engagement, as well as practical approaches for involving young people in the process.

The ambassadors then met with Arina Zohrabyan, Executive Director of the Armenian Volunteer Corps (AVC), and learned about the organization’s work. Following the meeting, they had the opportunity to connect and exchange experiences with Diaspora youth currently in Armenia through the Birthright Armenia and AVC programs.

As part of the educational program, the youth ambassadors also attended a lecture on “Cooperation Between Armenia and Other Countries in the Fields of Innovation and Entrepreneurship,” delivered by Hayk Margaryan, a member of the Executive Board and Chair of the Trade and Investment Commission of ICC Armenia.

The day concluded with a cultural program: the ambassadors attended the Alexander Spendiaryan National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, where they enjoyed a performance of the opera Anoush.
