On October 24, High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Zareh Sinanyan attended the opening ceremony of the 32nd year of the Charity Kitchen program at the House of Hope Charitable Center and delivered a welcoming speech.

The event was also attended by representatives of the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and members of the Charity Kitchen Management Committee from Germany.

In his remarks, Zareh Sinanyan emphasized: “The House of Hope Charitable Center and the Charity Kitchen Management Committee in Germany have long demonstrated that charity knows no borders. They unite the homeland and the Diaspora around a common goal — extending a helping hand to those in need. This is a wonderful example of how the potential of the Diaspora can be harnessed for the public good.”

The Charity Kitchen program has been operating since 1994. It runs annually from October to May, providing hot meals once a day to people in need. This year, more than 200 people from various administrative districts of Yerevan will benefit from the program.
