On November 13, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Armenia, Alessandro Ferranti.
Welcoming the Ambassador, the High Commissioner highly valued the continuously developing Armenia–Italy relations, highlighting the long-standing national and cultural ties between the two peoples as an important foundation for the advancement of bilateral cooperation.
Ambassador Alessandro Ferranti, who participated in the Armenian National Youth Forum 2025 organized by the Office, shared his positive impressions of the event and commended the Forum’s agenda aimed at promoting collaboration among various Armenian diaspora communities.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues related to the Armenia–Italy cooperation agenda.
Zareh Sinanyan and Ambassador Ferranti touched upon the diaspora cooperation policies and specific approaches of both countries, as well as the prospects for deepening Armenia–Italy partnership in the fields of tourism, education, culture, and several other areas.
The High Commissioner presented the institution of the Commissioners for Diaspora Affairs and referred to the activities of the Commissioner appointed in Italy.
Both sides expressed their readiness to continue joint efforts to promote bilateral cooperation and further strengthen intercultural ties between the two countries.
