The working visit of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia to Israel continues.

On December 16, as part of his working visit, High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan visited Saint Elijah’s Armenian Orthodox Church in Haifa, where he met with Fr. Dirayr Sahak Hovakimyan, Armenian Parish Priest of the Haifa and Galilee Districts.

During the meeting, the Parish Priest presented the history of the Armenian community in the region, discussed current challenges, and highlighted the community’s strong and enduring ties with Armenia. He reaffirmed the community’s continued support for Armenia and the Armenian people worldwide.

High Commissioner Sinanyan, in turn, outlined the mission and ongoing programs of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs and expressed confidence that opportunities for cooperation and engagement would continue to expand in the future.

Following the meeting, the High Commissioner met with members of the local Armenian community, addressed their questions, and discussed issues of mutual interest.

Later in the day, High Commissioner Sinanyan also visited Armenian Genocide Square in central Haifa.
