New Year speech from RA High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan

Dear Fellow Armenians,

On behalf of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, I extend my warmest wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

2025 was a significant year for Armenia, marked by progress across several strategic priorities. Throughout the year, reforms aimed at improving public administration, the economy, education, and institutional development continued, with the goal of building a more effective and dependable state.

The political and diplomatic strides undertaken within the framework of the peace agenda have reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to achieving a dignified and lasting peace in the region. These efforts contribute to fostering security and stability, strengthening investor confidence, and expanding economic opportunities.

Peace and reforms are closely linked to economic growth, regional cooperation, and improvements in quality of life. Investments in infrastructure, education, and technology, along with efforts to improve the business climate, are shaping the present and laying the foundations for Armenia’s prosperous future.

In this context, the engagement of the Diaspora remains essential. For Armenia, the Diaspora is not only a custodian of our cultural identity and heritage, but also a trusted partner that contributes expertise, experience, and valuable perspectives. At the same time, it is important to us that every Armenian in the Diaspora feels the State’s continued commitment and support.

The Republic of Armenia stands ready to support Diaspora communities both in locally implemented initiatives and in processes related to residence, employment, investment, or undertaking projects in Armenia.

Our mission is to foster an inclusive and transparent environment in which the Diaspora’s potential is naturally integrated into Armenia’s development agenda, and where every initiative receives partnership-based and state support.

I am confident that through joint, consistent, and long-term efforts, we will achieve new successes, respond effectively to existing challenges, and shape a peaceful and prosperous Armenia, both as a present reality and as a clear vision for the future.

I extend my sincere appreciation to all individuals, organizations, and institutions whose commitment advances Armenia’s development, strengthens Armenia-Diaspora relations, and promotes Pan-Armenian unity.
