On February 24, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan, visited the city of Dilijan in Tavush Province, hosted by the company Green Rock and the Green Rock Foundation.
The purpose of the visit was to learn about the large-scale programs being implemented in Dilijan by the company and the foundation, as well as to review the ongoing activities at the recently opened Apicius Armenia International Hospitality School.
The High Commissioner’s visit began with a tour of Green Rock’s Dilijan office, where the company’s CEO, Katerina Danekina, presented an overview of the organization’s initiatives and regional development projects. These included programs already implemented in Dilijan, such as the reconstruction of the Dilijan Sports School, the launch of the Apicius Armenia International Hospitality School, and ongoing construction of the hospitality school’s main campus, hotel, concert hall, community center (Villa 3 Community Hub), and Art Garden.
These projects aim to create high-quality public spaces in Dilijan, generate new employment opportunities, and provide long-term prospects for local residents—while simultaneously boosting tourism, attracting more visitors, and strengthening Dilijan’s cultural and socio-economic environment.
Zareh Sinanyan highly praised the projects carried out by the company and the foundation.
During the meeting, potential avenues for collaboration between the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs and Green Rock were discussed.
