The High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan, is on a working visit to Greece

On June 23, as part of his working visit to the Hellenic Republic, High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan, accompanied by the Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs in Greece, Misak Hovsepyan, visited the Social and Cultural CenterArmenia in Athens.
During the visit, the High Commissioner met with Minas Ter-Hovhannisyan, member of the Center’s Committee, founder of the "Hayastan" weekly newspaper, co-founder of the Philia newspaper, and co-founder of the Union of Armenians of Greece (UAG), as well as Committee members Hayk Kasarjian, Hovhannes Shahinian, Hovsep Kasesyan, and Tigran Ghalumyan.
During the meeting, the participants discussed issues related to the development of Armenia-Diaspora cooperation and addressed current challenges and possible ways to overcome them. They emphasized the importance of more effectively engaging the potential of the Diaspora in Armenia’s development and the strengthening of Armenian statehood.
Particular attention was given to initiatives aimed at bringing together the educational, academic, and cultural capacities of the Greek-Armenian community, as well as to the development of practical mechanisms that would contribute to a more vibrant community life and the further strengthening of Armenia-Diaspora ties.
High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan highly praised the longstanding dedication of the Center’s Committee members to preserving the national identity of the Greek-Armenian community, safeguarding Armenian heritage, and fostering the development of community life.
