The High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan, is on a working visit to Greece

On June 23, as part of his working visit to Greece, High Commissioner Zareh Sinanyan visited the AGBU Athens Artaki Kalpakian School at the invitation of the Board of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) Greece and met with the organization’s leadership.
The High Commissioner congratulated the newly elected AGBU Greece Board and its Chairman, Grigor Maroukian, wishing them a productive term in service of community development and the preservation of Armenian identity.
During the discussion, the parties addressed opportunities to deepen Armenia-Diaspora cooperation, implement joint initiatives, and more effectively engage the potential of the Diaspora. They emphasized the importance of transforming charitable initiatives implemented in Armenia into long-term, sustainable development programs, highlighting the need for strategic cooperation in the fields of education, social development, and community advancement.
During the meeting, the High Commissioner also formally invited members of the AGBU Greece Board to participate in the Global Armenian Summit '26, which will take place in Yerevan on November 5-8.
At the conclusion of the visit, Zareh Sinanyan toured the AGBU Athens Artaki Kalpakian Armenian School and familiarized himself with the institution’s activities and educational programs.
