Zareh Sinanyan attended and delivered opening remarks at the opening ceremony of the Ureni Dance Olympiad

High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Zareh Sinanyan attended and delivered opening remarks at the opening ceremony of the Ureni Dance Olympiad, which brought together Armenian dance ensembles from Armenia and Diaspora communities around the world.

In his remarks, the High Commissioner emphasized the vital role of Armenian dance in preserving Armenian cultural heritage across Diaspora communities, as well as its contribution to enhancing Armenia's visibility and recognition on the international stage.

Zareh Sinanyan expressed his gratitude to the organizers for bringing the initiative to Armenia this year and for organizing the Dance Olympiad for the fifth consecutive year. He concluded by wishing all participants every success.

The Ureni Dance Olympiad was founded and is organized by Zaven Virabyan, Artistic Director and Choreographer of the Erebuni and Urartu Armenian dance ensembles in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

The Chair of the jury for the annual Olympiad is Vardan Gevorkian, founder of the Gevorkian Dance Academy in the United States.
