The eighth day of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs’ Diaspora Youth Ambassador Program began with a workshop on “Community Leadership,” led by Artak Shakaryan, Founding Director of the School of Young Leaders (2006–2016) and Senior Program Manager for the International Republican Institute (IRI) in Armenia.

During the workshop, participants explored the key principles of community leadership, practical tools for effective leadership, and the role of young people in strengthening and developing their communities.

In the afternoon, the young ambassadors took part in a community-based simulation exercise developed by Manushak Grigoryan, expert at the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs. The exercise was facilitated by the Office’s community engagement team and alumni of the Diaspora Youth Ambassador Program.

The participants then visited the M.A.M Educational Movement, where they met with its founders, Marina and Meline Ghazaryan. During the session, “Online Armenian Language Learning Opportunities for Diaspora Armenians,” the founders presented the foundation’s educational initiatives, digital learning tools, and innovative approaches to supporting the preservation and continued use of the Armenian language in the Diaspora.

The eighth day concluded with an educational visit to the Sergei Parajanov Museum, where the young ambassadors explored the creative legacy of the world-renowned Armenian artist and gained a deeper appreciation of this remarkable chapter of Armenia’s cultural heritage.
