The Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs has concluded the 2026-2027 Armenia phase of the Diaspora Youth Ambassador Program, bringing together 29 youth Armenians from 17 countries.

Over the course of 13 intensive days in Armenia, participants took part in a specially designed educational program combining theoretical and practical components, including lectures, workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and meetings with experts from various fields.

The young ambassadors visited government institutions, academic and educational institutions, cultural and religious organizations, as well as national memorial sites and different regions of Armenia. Following the completion of the training, they will carry out program-related activities in their respective communities for one year, contributing to more active and engaged community life.

The closing ceremony featured remarks by Lili Khachatryan, Program Director; Artak Shakaryan, Lecturer; Silva Sahakian, program alumni and Secretary of G2iA; as well as the program participants.

In her remarks, Lili Khachatryan noted that the Armenia-based training was effective, meaningful, and collaborative, expressing confidence that the knowledge and connections gained throughout the program will serve as an important foundation for the young ambassadors’ community engagement and the successful implementation of their future initiatives.

The program is implemented with the financial support of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
