Zareh Sinanyan, High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, is on a working visit to France

As part of his visit, the High Commissioner traveled to Alfortville, where he visited the GAIDZ - Nor Serount Cultural Association and the Armenian Youth Center. He met with Armik Dakesyan, Chair of the French Branch of the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party (SDHP), branch members Grigor Ishkhanyan and Saro Mardiryan, as well as Gevorg Sachilyan, a member of the SDHP Central Committee.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the life of the Armenian community in France, strengthening Armenia–Diaspora cooperation, and addressing the challenges facing community organizations. Both sides emphasized the important role of organized and active community structures in advancing pan-Armenian priorities and preserving national identity.
Following the meeting, accompanied by representatives of the SDHP, Zareh Sinanyan visited an Armenian khachkar and the Charles Aznavour Place of Europe, where he learned more about the city’s Armenian cultural heritage and commemorative landmarks.
The High Commissioner then attended a cultural event organized by the GAIDZ - Nor Serount Cultural Association, featuring a performance by the children’s group “Arevi Chogher – Tania Toutounjian,” led by Marina Hovhannisyan.
The event was attended by Alfortville Deputy Mayors Saro Mardiryan, Viktoria Simonian and Philippe Car, as well as Regional Councilor Mohamed Chikouche.
During his visit, Zareh Sinanyan thanked the hosts for their warm welcome and praised the longstanding contribution of the SDHP and its affiliated organizations to preserving Armenian identity, strengthening community life, and advancing Armenia–Diaspora cooperation.
