On September 11, as part of his working visit to France, High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan visited Le Plessis-Robinson, where he met with representatives of the municipal authorities.
Accompanied by Deputy Mayor Corinne Mare Duguer, the High Commissioner toured the city and was briefed on its history, cultural heritage, and the projects currently being implemented by the municipality.
The visit continued at the Maison des Arts, where the official opening ceremony of the Organization of the Armenian Diaspora of the Île-de-France Region (ODARIF) was held. During the ceremony, High Commissioner Sinanyan delivered welcoming and congratulatory remarks, emphasizing the important role of such organizations in strengthening community life, preserving Armenian identity, and fostering cooperation among Armenian communities across France.
The ceremony was followed by the official signing of a memorandum between the City of Le Plessis-Robinson and ODARIF, in the presence of the Mayor and the Sub-Prefect of the Antony-Boulogne-Billancourt arrondissement, Emmanuel Yborra.
A meeting with representatives of the Armenian community was subsequently held at the same venue. High Commissioner Sinanyan presented the ongoing work of the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, as well as its strategic programs focused on repatriation and engaging the potential of young people and professionals.
